This trail start from Sembalun village. We will ascend from 1.100 mdpl meters to 2.639 mdpl .Stop every four resting posts which offer Amazing views ,face a steep incline called Regret Hill with a slope of about 60 degrees then rest at Sembalun crater rim then continue summit in the next morning.
The most popular trail to the crater rim take six-hours . start from 600 meters in the late morning or early afternoon. The trail through tropical rain forest, passing POS II at 1,500 m, crossing the treeline at 2,000 m, and slogging up gravel roads to the camp site below the crater rim at 2,600 m.
Torean trail is very popular who want to get to the lake in the same day. The trails are flatter than the Senaru and Sembalun but longer that takes approximately 9 hours from the starting point to the lake camping area. The trail is enjoyable and fantastic.
This alternative trail is start from Aik Berik within the central of Lombok match for who love quite and away from crowded Sembalun and Senaru trail’s also enjoy the nature of the Rinjani National that offer variouse waterfall on the trail.
